Delivery of
BayouBaptist.com preaching is absolutely free. Web
technology (termed
podcasting) has made it very easy to keep track of your
favorite web content without having to visit each of your
favorite web sites.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is the standard web
process for delivering content to you such as blog entries,
news, audio, or video. Publishers (podcasters), such as
BayouBaptist.com, podcast RSS services on their site and
advertise those services to visitors with icons similar to
what you see on the left. Subscribing to such sites delivers
content to the subscribers podcatcher as that content is
updated. A podcatcher is a program that looks for and keeps
track of the content to which you have subscribed. Some
programs such as Internet Explorer 7 and Outlook 2007
include podcatching functionality. Other software, some of
which are listed on our links page,
are designed for the sole purpose of managing and delivering
your RSS subscriptions (podcasts).
