Dear Brethren in
Christ,
I would like to begin this letter bringing to memory Psalm
136:1, 23: “O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for
His mercy endureth forever. Who remembered us in our low
estate: for His mercy endureth forever.” I praise my Lord
for the life of our sister Kathy Rose, who on the 6th of
November went to the presence of the Lord and so finally
arrived home. She left on the day of her birthday to enjoy a
tremendous celebration in Heaven along with our Lord and
with her husband, Bro. Gerald Rose. I thank God for allowing
me to be near her during all the month of October and to be
a witness of her unbreakable faith and trust in the Lord
Jesus Christ. She leaves us her great example of the life of
Christ in this great Christian woman. Thank you, Lord, for
giving me the confidence that we will meet again when it is
our turn to go home.
On the 31st of October, I returned to Chile to sign the
contract for rent on the house chosen for the Mission. This
happened on the 3rd of November. The owners of the house,
Oscar and Angelica, told us they would like to come and
participate in one of the services. We ask your prayers that
God would touch their hearts and that they would receive
Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, when the Lord so
allows.
On the 16th of November, we had the blessing and the
privilege of having our first meeting in the “Rivers of
Living Water Baptist Mission” (the name was chosen by
Daniela, our “Priscilla,” based on John 7:38). We began with
5 and now we have 9. Eduardo’s mother attends faithfully and
needs to be saved. Another friend of Eduardo, Gabriel, is
attending with his two little girls. If God so allows, today
we will visit their home, and we will try to encourage his
wife to accompany him to hear the Word of God.
On the 23rd of December, the Rock of Ages Baptist Church
will help us present their Christmas program in the open
air, and I will have the responsibility to bring the
message. Pray that we will have a good harvest of souls.
On December 29-January 3, our Family Camp will be taking
place. The theme of this year’s camp is “We are here for
such a time as this,” based on Esther 4:14c. This year we
are blessed to have the participation of Bro. Mark Thrift,
pastor of the Parkwood Baptist Church. We ask for your
prayers that God will bless greatly through His Word.
We also need much prayer for the preparations for the first
Vacation Bible School in the Mission. There are many
children in the area and they surely need the Lord Jesus as
their personal Savior.
I would like to thank every one of you that were involved in
the tremendous help given to our family, being there for us
in time of need. May God recompense you richly for your
service on His behalf.
Finally, I ask you to pray for my brother-in-law, Barry,
that God will supply all that is necessary during this time.
We know that He will take care of him and provide for his
life. We love you in the Lord and we look with joy at what
God has prepared for us ahead. We pray that we will be found
faithful in His work.
Thank you for your love and service you give us, and we pray
that God will greatly bless you.
In Christ,
Lohen González |
