What We Believe

The Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God, without error, and sufficient for faith and life.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Trinity of God

We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.
(Genesis 1:1; Leviticus 19:2; John 1:14, 4:24; 1 John 5:7)

Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has eternally been, in deified form, the only Son of God. He was conceived by a virgin that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men through His death on the cross. We believe in His literal and physical resurrection from the dead, His ascension to Heaven where he fulfills His role as High Priest and Intercessor, and His soon and swift return in which He will setup and rule a new Heaven and Earth.
(Isaiah 7:14; John 1:1-2, 3:16; Galatians 4:4; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Salvation

We believe that man was created in the image of God but that in Adam's sin the human race inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God. We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone and that salvation is the free gift of God. We believe that man is saved by faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit actively seeks sinners and appropriates the gospel work in men. Through that appropriation, a person must repent of his sin and by faith trust in the Person and provision of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection in order to be saved. We also believe that all who have been truly saved (born again) will be saved forever and cannot lose their salvation. We believe that being saved is the most important experience in every individual’s life.
(John 1:12; Romans 3:10-11, 6:23, 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:1-10)

The Church

We believe that the church, the Body and espoused Bride of Christ, is composed of all who have received the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. We believe that the local church is a visible manifested representation of the Body of Christ and that every believer, upon salvation and baptism, is responsible for affiliating under the authority of such a church and participating in its services and work.
(Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 2:42-47; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 4:3-10

Eternity

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men—the saved to eternal life with Christ, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment in hell. In such we believe it is the responsibility of every believer to bring the gospel message to all men.
(John 11:25-26; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Luke 16:19-26)
